Spend some time in the tulips and enjoy live musical entertainment; watch artists at work among the tulip beds at Commissioners Park, Dow’s Lake; take in a 1-KM explosion of over 250, 000 show-stopping mass-planted tulip beds including the Queen Juliana Gift Bed and the Canada 150 tulips, the official tulip of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, offered by National Capital Commission (NCC). Interpretive signage and guided tours offer an opportunity to learn about tulips and the Capital’s flagship tulip festival.
Don’t miss the Canada’s Capital A’s on Saturday May 13 – As a salute to the Festival’s heritage, when it was common practice to take a “Sunday drive” along the “Tulip Route” Ottawa’s Model A car club brings their vintage automobiles (1928-1931) for a “show and tell” before and after their return procession along the Garden Promenade from Lansdowne Park, past Dow’s Lake Pavilion to the Experimental Farm.
A special Parking lot at the Queen Juliana Park, a few minutes from Commissioners Park (off of Queen Elizabeth South of Preston Street) is available for a flat rate of $15
